Meet our local step-on guide and begin our shopping day at Walnut Creek Flea Market.  This is a great place to find many local Amish people selling their wares, everything from food to crafts.  Explore over 100 booths, all under one climate-controlled roof.  After your shopping excursion you'll be hungry for a delicious Amish family-style meal.  Enjoy your feast and fellowship with an Amish family and learn how they live and prepare your meal without modern technology.  You'll even go home with a delicious gift from our Amish lunch host.  Next, we make a shopping stop at Hometown Merchants, a locally owned variety store that is considered to be the Amish Walmart!  Explore their large selection of home decor, books, glassware, games, puzzles and more.  Our final stop for the day is at Walnut Creek Cheese and Bulk Food Store, the largest bulk food store in Ohio's Amish country.  This is a great place to shop for fresh meats, cheese, and bulk food items, plus they have an in-house bakery that specializes in all kinds of tasty baked goods.  And don't forget their delicious ice cream!  Everyone gets an ice cream cone before we depart for home. "The Sound of Music"

"The Sound of Music" (1959), music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, book by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse.  With its timeless melodies and romantic setting during one of history's darkest hours, The Sound of Music remains one of the gemstones of American musical theater.  It was the last collaboration and greatest success of Rodgers and Hammerstein.  Set in 1930's Salzburg and inspired by the real-life musical exploits of the von Trapp Family Singers, the show includes hits songs such as "Maria," "My Favorite Things," "Do-Re-Mi," and "Edelweiss," as well as several songs not included in the film.  Show is performed at the Ohio Light Opera, College of Wooster, Wooster, OH.  A delicious buffet meal is included at Das Dutch Kitchen before the afternoon show.  You'll enjoy all of your Amish favorites with a selection of soup, salad bar, 3 meats, all the side dishes plus dessert.  Please note:  $65** of your payment is non-refundable.  Credit cards will not be accepted for reservation payments for this tour. **New tour!  For 36 years Clifton Mill in Clifton, OH has celebrated the Christmas season in a very special way.  Their light display, featured in Midwest Living and Ohio Magazine, is one of the country's finest with over 4 million lights illuminating the mill, the gorge, the riverbanks, trees and bridges.  There is even a 100 foot "waterfall" of twinkling lights.   This historic mill originally provided corn meal for Union troops during the Civil War and cloth for their uniforms.  Also included are visits at EnterTRAINment Junction, the world's largest indoor model train display, Krohn Conservatory, a Cincinnati tradition at Christmas, and Bern's Garden Center where you will enjoy a talk by a horticulturist about the myths and misconceptions of poinsettias.  Light Up Middletown offers a driving tour from the comfort of our coach of Christmas lights and festive music at Smith Park Lake, and we'll enjoy a delicious meal at the historic Golden Lamb Inn.  Join us in southern Ohio (Clifton, Middletown, Franklin and Cincinnati) for this brand new tour!
